I commute into Whidbey from Skagit County. I'd like to use Island Transit but frankly the connections from March's point are so tight that I haven't tried yet because a 30 mile commute is complicated if anything goes wrong. Also, not sure how comfortable I feel driving and parking there either given limited security.

I don't use transit because I'm confused about how to see the schedule and routes, etc
Mostly use my car for things on island, for short trips I find transit to be too inconsistent and challenging with young children and routines
SeaTac shuttle is so helpful! I mostly use transit for leaving the island, less so for within-island transit needs
I walk 1.5 miles from my house to the bus I use to commute - really appreciate the free cost but do wish access could be closer
Missing services on Camano include pharmacies. Recent changes in health insurance have made it harder to receive mail-in meds, creating a greater need for transportation to pharmacies. Stanwood recently lost 2 pharmacies Specialty care and veterans medical care are also needed. Closest are a CBO in Mount Vernon or Seattle VA
More people are driving to Lynnwood from Camano Island with the new light rail station
Parents do not always feel safe letting their children ride public transit
Youth scholarship on Island County is underutilized (1% use) and may be due to travel costs that aren’t accounted for
Returning citizens are a high human services priority
Cross-jurisdictional collaboration is a key policy gap in this region, given how much people in Island County have to cross multiple county lines for their needs. Communication to people with disabilities about their transportation options is also an important element of this.
